What Dynasty Haiti collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. Written to describe what actually happens rather than to cover every possibility.
1 What we collect
When you make an account: your name or artist name, your email address, and a password we never store in readable form. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture from them.
When you buy: what you bought, when, how much, and which method you used. We do not receive or store card numbers or mobile-money PINs — those go straight to the payment provider.
When you use the site: what you played and when, what you liked, what you downloaded, the pages you opened, your rough location from your address, and the kind of device and browser you are using.
On every like we also store the address it came from. That is there so a run of manufactured likes can be recognised and reversed after the fact — likes pay artists real money, so a like has to be traceable.
If you are an artist: the payout details you give us, and the identity document you upload for verification.
2 Why we hold it
To run your account and give you what you paid for. To take payment and to pay artists. To work out what a recording earned, which is what the play and like counts are for. To recognise fraud. To answer you when you write. To send you the letters described below. And because the law requires us to keep records of money that has changed hands.
3 Who else sees it
Payment providers — MonCash, NatCash, KashPaw, Stripe — receive what they need to take a payment or send a withdrawal. Our hosting provider and our file storage provider hold the site and the audio. Google receives what you send it if you sign in with Google, and analytics about how the site is used.
Artists see how many times their recordings were played, bought and liked. They do not see who you are, what else you listened to, or your address.
We do not sell your information and we do not hand it to advertisers. We give it to authorities only where we are legally required to, and we will tell you when we are allowed to.
4 Letters we send
Some mail is part of the service and cannot be turned off: receipts, download links, notices about a recording being held, and confirmations of withdrawals. Everything else — the letters about what the site does — has a link at the bottom to stop them, and stopping them takes effect immediately.
5 Where it is kept, and for how long
The site and its database are hosted outside Haiti, and audio files are held with an international storage provider. If you are in the European Union, that means your information is transferred outside it.
We keep account information while the account exists. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is longer, and they survive an account being deleted. Play and like history is kept while it is needed to work out what a recording earned.
6 What you can ask for
Write to info@dynastyhaiti.com and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete your account, or object to us using it for anything other than running the service. We will answer within thirty days.
Deleting an account does not delete the record that a payment happened, and it does not withdraw music you sold from the people who bought it.
7 Children
The service is not intended for children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has made an account, tell us and we will remove it.
8 Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored hashed, and access to the administration side is limited. No system is perfectly secure. If information is lost or exposed in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you.
9 Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we collect or who we give it to, we will tell account holders by email.
